Business Intelligence Development Manager

Position Overview:

The Business Intelligence Development Manager is responsible for overseeing Foresight’s suite of reporting tools.  This includes both internal and external facing reporting capabilities.  They are expected to work with both the client service and development teams to understand the needs of Foresight clients and to build and maintain a reporting infrastructure.  In addition, the BI Development Manager will be responsible for selecting the best BI tools for Foresight to use.  Some day-to-day responsibilities include: working with client service to develop and update a suite of reports, maintaining an inventory of current and future reports, using relational databases (SQL Server) to extract the necessary data in a structure that can be used to build reports.

    • Data Driven: Understands key data metrics and can organize them into visualizations with logical and meaningful data flow
  • Domain Expertise: Has experience working with Business Intelligence tools and has the capability to select the best tool for Foresight’s needs.    Ability to create a suite of standard-use reports as well as customized reports for certain users. 
  • Teamwork:  Team player able to work with both internal and external clients.  Active listener that works to understand the organization’s needs.
  • Organization/Communication: Tracks available reporting tools as well as current and future development projects.  Uses common naming and structure across all projects.


  • 3+ years’ experience creating visuals and building dashboards and customizations
  • Tableau Server experience is a plus
  • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server
  • Collaborative with the ability to work closely with both business and development partners
  • Demonstrated skill in various computer/statistical languages (SQL, C#, etc.)
  • Working proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • High levels of self-motivation and intellectual curiosity
